GABA is a member-driven non-profit organization that fosters transatlantic knowledge-sharing and networking among German-American and Californian business and tech communities. GABA is dedicated to encouraging German-American business and trade.
Our programs address critical business, technical and leadership issues, with specific industry programs focused on life science, semiconductors, venture capital, and legal corporate governance, among other.
About GABA
The success of GABA is based on its matrix-organization consisting of four locations and over 10 interest groups. GABA started in California in 2003 and was quickly followed by chapters in Munich and Berlin. In addition to GABA’s local presence, the board purposefully implemented interest groups which provide deep market knowledge and support excellent industry networking opportunities. GABA continues to evolve with diverse interest groups reflecting today’s business environment. GABA now has a wide variety of interest groups spanning from Automotive to Young Professionals.
From its modest beginnings with less than a handful of founding Board members, the organization has grown to be a trusted partner in transatlantic knowledge-sharing and networking among German-American and Californian businesses with 400+ members and a community in the thousands. Today, GABA facilitates more than 60 events per year, hosting over 3500 event attendees.
